Hi,
I just bought my first ranger, it is a 1991 with a 5 speed and the 3.0 V6. Both the upper rear shock mounts are broken, so it is an incredibly bouncy ride. With all the road salt in New Hampshire, both the shock mounts rusted right through. My brother was telling me that there are universal, bolt on shock mounts (in fact he did one on a Ranger at the shop he was working at, but is no longer at the shop, so I don't know what vendor the unit came from). Does anyone have any ideas of where I might be able to find these mounts. Or if I can fabricate something easily? I have no experience with suspension really, I'm not afraid of working on anything myself and should be able to fabricate something if need be. I'd rather buy something that is ready to go though if possible. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Isagani
