My B2 was getting the windows tinted today and the guy tried to turn the lift gate latch and it broke and now the handle spins freely in place.

Any ideas on how to open it now?

grab wires with pliers?(no rhyme intended). and slap that mofo...

You'll need to get the trim off on the inside. You should then be able to remove the handle. After the handle is removed you should be able to put a finger in the hole from the outside and operate the release rods.

Well after trying to mess around with the handle this morning the handle came right off. So the part that connects to the back of it, is sheared off. So this should be fun.

well..

I'm sure it would..you just won't need to "turn it to the left"...although I've never replace one of those (mine has the opening rear window)..I would call them to make sure..good price though...look thru their catalog to find any other of their stuff that you may want to make the shipping hit a little easier...

It's a new factory part that they offer..was glad to find it so cheap.

mine was pretty easy to change....little tight with the sockets but do-able

You can take off the inside trim and open the hatch that way. Its a PITA, bronco graveyard is a real good price. LMC wants 40 for one.
