yeah i started installing the lift on my 92 ranger today and i broke the bottom mounting stud. whats the best way to fix this? I thought about just cutting off whats left and buy a bolt to put threw there. also i want to get longer bump stops anybody know what size i need? i'm installing a 4 inch lift. do i need ones 4 inch longer then whats on there? thanks

I did what you said in your first post- cut it off flush, then drilled it out and bolted it up with a Grade-8 bolt. Can't remember now if it was 1/2" or 5/8" I used...I think it was 5/8", but I'm not sure. Bought it at Lowes- might have cost $10 with the nut and washers.

Been in there for 40k miles now and no problems.

People talk about knocking them out, but by the way it was welded on my truck, that wasn't gonna happen, so I drilled it.

theres a kit at autozone just for that.when i broke mine i just ground the broken stud off and hit it with a BFH and chizel knocked it out real good.the kit at autozone is like $10-$12
