Having a problem on my 93 2.3 5 speed. This morning I went out to my truck and when I hit the clutch pedal there was very little resistance in it, almost going straight to the floor. I'm pretty sure my clutch is ok because it felt fine up until this morning. It's very cold here in houston right now not sure if that has anything to do with it..I've worked on automatic trannies before but this is my first manual and not sure what to look for, any help would be awesome thanks.

Also, the truck did work this morning. I started it up and reversed down the driveway, then moved it onto the street. When I stopped I was having trouble taking it out of 1st with the clutch all the way down, so i turned the motor off and put it into neutral thats when I noticed the clutch pedal went loose.

You have a leak in the hydraulic clutch system. You can get it working good enough, until you have time to fix or get it fixed, by adding more fluid to the master reservoir. It's located in between the brake booster and the drivers fender. Unscrew the lid and make sure the rubber liner comes out with the lid. Fill it up with DOT. 3 brake fluid. You MAY get away without bleeding, depending how drained the system is. You can search for any info you need using the search button, and check the tech library for info as well.
Good luck,

Richard

There seems to be enough fluid in there, the cap says "fill to step with dot 3 brake fluid" and its at the step. Is it possible that the clutch itself blew?

I did this when I didn't know.... The rubber liner made the reservoir LOOK like it was full when it was actually empty IE I filled up the rubber liner with fluid, NOT the reservoir. Make sure that the liner is out. Other than that I can't help you. The symptoms you describe indicate to me a problem with the fluid system, but I'm just self taught so there could be other problems with the same symptoms that I don't know enough about to describe. Hopefully someone else can help.
Good luck,

Richard
