hey guy my DD is a 97' 4x4 Ranger and the center leaf on the pass side leaf pack broke. I have a set of explorer leafs at my house, but i don't want to gain any lift in the back. Will the explorer springs noticeably lift the back with stock shackles and so on..or should i just find a set of 93-97 4x4 ranger leafs from the junk yard? Also if i replace one do i have to replace the other if i go with the ranger leafs? Thanks!

my stock springs are nearly perfectly flat anyhow. so maybe i wont gain much lift with the explorer leafs?

Pull the corresponding leaf from the explorer pack and replace the leaf of the ranger pack. Might want to do both sides to match spring rate as it will change.

The great thing with leaf is they are tunable. Either re-arc them to gain lift, if you have a press. Or cut the length down to decrease the spring rate.

With the explorer leafs you have and the existing ranger pack you can fix the problem and have the same ride height.

I believe a little thicker but if you do both side it's not gonna lift you an inch if you just swap center springs.

I did shackle swap and then had to lower my front so it looks weird. I just wanted more clearance for the snow.

okay, so how much actual lift am i gonna get if i just swapped in the explorer leaf pack? all the older threads say something different

I think they say 1-2 inches? It all depends on how worn they are.

All i did when i installed my explorer springs was take out the stock lift block. the truck rides better, i can haul more weight, and you cant even notice i did the swap.
