So the past few days ive noticed that the ranger has been idling rich. I took a look yesterday and noticed that the electrical tap on the choke had somehow become broken off. Is there anyway around this other than buying a new choke? Think I could solder a wire to where the male end was?

thanks

Yes, you should be able to solder a new connector on it, if pin is not broken off inside.

Manual choke conversion is not expensive if it comes to that

Looks like the manual choke conversion is the way i'll be going. I can't find a replacement cap for my carb anywhere!
