I have a 1993 Ford Ranger XLT 2.3 4cyl with a broken timing belt. I am getting ready to tear into it but I would like to know if the valves might possibly be bent. Anyone with experience or knowlege if this please respond.

Valves shouldn't be bent; the 2.3 is a non-interference design.

Thanks another question.

Thanks. I can sleep better. The engine hasn't been run in about 6 months. Any thoughts on that?
