Any news on if they are bring back the ranger to North America?

I heard at one point that they were, bring the euro ranger over and calling it the Ranger F100 but yet to be seen.

I talked to Sales guys I know at the dealership and he told me that, not a chance that it would be back, they want to sell more F150 not have more trucks in their line up to eat up the sales of the F150.

any one heard anything????:icon_confused:

The "news" is that they put a 2.7L EB in the F150 and the Ranger is not coming back.

The Ranger is pretty much never coming back.
Any rumor you see that it is; is just click bait.

What options are there any more for buying a new truck.
Mazda B is not around - just checked there website and I didn't know they were not made any more.
Buy a f150 for a $31,000 price tag or a Toyota Tacoma for around the same both with no real added extras.

The day of the compact truck is over. sad so sad.

I guess they figure fleets and people who need the utility of a ranger will buy the little transit vans and people who need more space will buy the f150 with nothing to bridge the gap between utility and commuter and 4x4 capability in the US. I get the vibe auto makers and Ford especially are just doing what they have to. To survive in our questionable economy.

The parts stores around me switched to Chrysler vans and Nissan pickups as their Rangers died/were killed off... A decent 4wd scab '150 is $40k pretty easy nowadays.

This is why I am not going to buy a new truck, ever.

The next year or more of my life is going to be devoted to rust repair and restoration of my 87. Should I ever reach the day that I decide she cannot be saved for one reason or another I will buy another Ranger between the years of 95 and 97, do an 04+ front end and 5.0 swap, and that truck is going to come from the deep south and be PA prepped before she ever sees a day on our roads.

I only wish I had the diesel from the global ranger.
Its so cheap here $1.75.

This topic should be banned.

I love my small truck to..... But go buy a F150 or better. Ford only want's to sell big trucks in the USA. Can't really sell them anywhere else. They will not fit down the city roads in most country's. At least the ones I have been to.

That is about how much gas is here.

I have no desire for a diesel or even another Ranger really, I just wish trucks were reasonably priced again.

I found something that bridges the gap between Ranger and F150, Sport Trac. Same length as a extended cab Ranger with the 4 doors of a F150 w/ F150 power or at least in my case. Sad to say the Sport Trac has died off as well.

I really hate to say it, but, trucks are as cheap now as they ever will be.

I figure I have about another 10 years with my current rig for them to see the light. :icon_rofl:

Well that's Diesel, gas is $1.55.

I want to just buy a 7.3L Super Duty, so then I can tow around my ranger when its a race truck.
