hey guys, got brand new bypass shocks, not charged yet, i pull them out the box and extend them by hand so i can use them to finish my mounts , and one wont extend more than 2or3 inches it appears to get stuck at the first bypass tube, i have pulled it as hard as posible and wont budge. i doubt if filled with nitrogen itll budge, it gets stuck soo hard that the shaft wont rotate anymore. what do guys think? bad welds? bad honeing??

Take the shock apart and see what's wrong with it. FOA has fantastic customer service, some of the best in the industry IMO. They will take care of any issue if there is one.

check the dividing piston in the ressi. if its set too far in it might be causing the shock to lock up and now allow you to pull that shaft out all the way. being that they are brand new, id send em back and have em redone. its probably just put together improperly

my experience with foa shocks has been horrible, the first pair i received where leakin from the welds and they where jammed just like this one and it took forever to recieve them , i took it apart and the oil was full of metal shaving just horrible. sent them back and it took them about 7 months to send me a new set out, and i had to call them about 50 times and they would just play me along with stories and this and that, finally get them back.. and basicly the same. im not dealing with them anymore. something is really wrong overthere... and im really dissapointed , i gave the small guys a chance and i got screwed over. next set will be fox or king.

when they assemble the shocks this would be obvious to them, the only way to get the shaft past the stuck point would be with a hammer... and they should charge them with nitrogen afterwards to check it works properly, somehting they dont do ....

tomorrow im taking it to the race shop and see what happens ill upload video
