Well ended up hearing a slight grinding noise in the front right tire that eventually got worse, ended up having a seized caliper, and the back brakes were shot too, ended up replacing alot, calipers, wheel cylinders, rear steel axle brake lines, drums, shoes, adjusters, hardware kit, pads and rotors, total cost was about 700.. the last brake job was done before i bought it, 40 000 km's ago, they put new rotors and pad, noted the calipers were seized they freed them and re used them, said they replaced the adjusters and a couple of the springs. alot of this stuff looks older then 2 years from the drums, but i did it all and hopefully it all last me a while, she sure stops good now.

The old Stuff i removed:

Very nice...a bit high in the price but I guess if you replaced the calipers that would add about $120...and I hope you did new bearings too...:)

Did you use the high heat brake paint on those drums? I did mine too, but I used the Aerostar drums after having a set turned by a shop...new ones were just a bit on the high side for price (like $100 per side)...so I got a set from the junkyard that were in good shape...

I just used generic paint, also forgot to mention i did both rear park brake cables, wheel cylinders as well pads rotors and drums and shoes with adjusters and hardware kit came to 450, i believe

The regular paint will burn off in no time, so you might want to invest in some high heat brake paint...it's not much more than regular paint and will give you better results. I did my backing plates, calipers, drums, and brake cylinders with the high heat stuff...haven't actually driven the Ranger or did any kind of serious braking so not sure how well it will hold up...but the calipers were painted on my first Ranger before I swapped them over and the paint held up pretty good...as in little rust on the caliper...

Worth every penny when you see that kind of result...

Yea i eventually planned on getting some high temp stuff, just didnt have it avail when i was doing the brake was a last minute thought, and i found a can of black in the shop

1500kms and still good tho
