Brake Master Cylinder Question

I'm upgrading my rear drum brakes from 9" to 10" with an 8.8" rear end swap for my 2WD 1990 Super Cab 2.9L.

The specs on the brake master cylinders are:



Master Cylinder:

4x2 models use a 0.938 inch master cylinder bore.

4x4 models use a 0.975 master cylinder bore.

BrakeBest Select makes a master cylinder with a 1" bore that fits the 10" brakes:

Should I get the larger bore or go with the smaller .937 bore that is also available? Cost difference is only $10.

My WAG would be to use as close to stock size that came with the rear you are installing. I believe that the bigger bore will have less pedal travel and therefore feel harder/take more effort.
