my brake lights on my 93 ex cab ranger arent working
so my running lights work but they don't get brighter when i push the brakes(or light up in the day time).
what would be the most likely cause to to this. bad bulbs(i doubt it since its both)
fuse?
brake pressure sensor?
any ideas

Possibly the second filament in the bulbs is burnt out, but not the first. or someone put single filament bulbs in

Does the third brake light on the cab work? If not, it's probably the switch on the brake pedal.

Check the wires going to the brake pedal switch too, they break all the time. You can get a replacement connector with wires if they are broken.

alright so after searching online for which use is the correct fuse. i checked it and it was fine. i then looked at the brake light switch. it looked relatively new. and then what do i see. one of the wires wasnt even connected to the flat spade connector. the bone head before me never crimped the wires in place. i put the wire in and tried the brakes and all 3 light up. dah dah!. let there be light. thanks for the help everyone. now i just need to get new front brakes and fix the exhaust leak and i can register it:yahoo:
