ok since i put on my 31 my brakes seem to not be able to perform as well. what should i do to fix this problem? any help is much appreciated. the truck is an 01 ranger xlt with the 4.0. i have 31 x 10.5 tires on stock rims.

You shouldnt notice much difference with only 31" tires. What did you have on there before?

I would take a look at the condition of your brakes. Perhaps they need to be refreshed (new shoes/pads all around) to help you stop a bit better.

put your old tires back on.

bigger shoes mean less stopping power, slower acceleration, lower fuel economy, higher maintainence costs...and on and on. if you dont like it the only way to "fix" it is to go back to stock.

haha harsh...yet true. but ya my brakes SUCK with 35's... you just get used to it. what you can do is get bigger rotors, calipers, and better pads. you can also get rear discs (alittle more work).

ok yeah i dont mind the less braeking power i was just really curious thats all.
