I have a 1995 Ford Ranger XL 2wd 4.0 6 cyl with manual 5 spd transmission and the brakes went out on itI replaced both back wheel cylinders, booster assembly, adjusted brakes and bled till i got clear and clean brake fluid.

Brakes still go to floor and pressdown on pedal.

There are no leaks at master cylinder, but leaking underneath clutch master cylinder reservoir at a 90 fitting.

Clutch is dissengaged
Brake fluid is emptying out of master cylinder reservoir but not clutch master cylinder reservoir

I am at a loss

It almost seems like O ring or seal is bad.

I got no leaks inside cab or at master cylinder.

Brake lines are not leaking.

Any ideas ?

Thank you.

Chris

Brakes and clutch are completely separate unrelated systems. Concentrate on the leaky brake system. If you have a leak at a fitting, tighten or replace the fitting. If your brake lines are rusty, they may not seal well in a fitting. You may need to replace a brake line.

Master cyl could be bad. It wont leak, just the fluid will blow by the seals internally.

"Random Thought". I've seen Master cylinders leak into the power booster without showing the leak externally. Its rare, but does happen. Welcome to the club.

Have not noticed any leaks around brake master cylinder or lines

seems to be spraying up agaist firewall where tube goes into clutch master cylinder

fill up reservoir and couple of pumps on pedal, and half empty

Master cylinders will leak down the bore, into the booster and then either drip down the back of the booster at the firewall or sometimes even inside the cab of the truck. You won't see the leak at the master cylinder itself. Remove the master cylinder and I guarantee its soaked at the back and in the booster.
