Hey fellas, new to the forum, been reading a lot on here the last couple months since I've bought my Ranger and decided to join to help me throught my project. Got a steal of a deal on a long bed 90 ranger with a good running 2.9L. Since then I've bobbed the bed and frame, picked up lift brackets, I believe Rough Country from what I've read, for $25 and bought Skyjacker 6" lift coils and a 3" body lift... Coils and brackets installed, body lift has not been yet... I have a variety of questions but, to not ask to many my first post, I'll start with the lift brackets. Got them on, went well, required a little drilling but nothing major. My concern with them is that from what I've heard from the guy I got them from and what I've read is that there have been issues with these brackets puncturing the front diffrential. When looking at the bracket installed you can clearly see where the area that would do this on the bracket is. My thought is to grind the area off as much as I feel comfortable (1/2" - 1") and then weld the plates together for added strength. I was wondering if anyone here has encountered this problem or has done something similar?

Thanks,
Colten
