Bosch Platinum +2 Plugs

yeah well unless i come across any troubles with these plugs i'll just change to the bosch platinum single prongs. I suppose in a totally stock DD situation there is no need for a dual prong plug. I'm not looking for any performance out of my spark plugs and have a totally stock ignition system.

i'm trying to figure out the difference between the platinum plugs and the iridium plugs, being as that iridium *IS* a platinum.

iridium is element 77, platinum is element 78....right next to each other on the Periodic Table, but different elements with slightly different properties.

A multi-electrode plug won't make any performance difference other that what you'd get by replacing worn plugs with ANY new plug. The late-model Ford ignition does not work well with multi-electrode plugs. Just use Motorcraft or Autolite platinums or double platinums and call it good.

I don't know about the multi prong Boschs, but every vehicle that I've seen with the regular platinums didn't run for shit. I tried them in one of my vehicles and it missed and stumbled worse than the old worn out plugs. My neighbor put a set in his CJ7 and got about the same results as I did. Then a few years later, at work a guy with a mazda mx6 came in and his car would barely run. I checked the plugs to see what shape they were in and guess what they where Bosch platinums that looked like they were put in very recently. So, I told him about my experiences with them. He said go ahead and replace them with plain old autolites... ran perfect. I've heard lots of people use them and have had good results, but no one I have had actual contact with. Go figure!

i run the e3's in my racing mower and i love them. the motor had better response to hard throttle and it didnt use near as much gas in a race. guess i just got lucky tho.
