this is my 1991 ranger std cab lwb. it has a 4.0 and 5spd. it will be getting a sas and a auto tranny swap here soon. right now its getting cleaned up and alot of needed maintenance done. previous owner did not take care of it at all, has about 300 lbs of mud under it. needs brakes and a muffler.

this is it when i got it home

going to remove the body lift. build a 4 link f/r suspension setup. build a tube bed/chassis.run 35's with low cog, and lots more. just getting it cleaned up and in good working order before i take it to the shop and tear into it.

ok got a question....

my rear brakes do not work. has new everything back there. i took the line off at cylinder and it has pressure there. put it back on and took the line off at the back axle that feeds the splitter. no pressure at all...not even damp. left it off and unhooked the master cylinder line again and blew through the line...nothing. is there another block or valve under there or do you think my line is plugged.

So it's got nothing before the splitter? It's wet past the splitter to the cyls?

hmm...It does sound clogged. Good news is that line is long but not that terrible to replace. If you are going to go through all this trouble, you might as well replace it.

Honestly though, I think there is another splitter. Trace the line back to the cab and front of the truck. I think there is another one just past where the line goes up above the fuel filter. I might be wrong, it might even be a splitter for the front wheels....I don't remember.

yes there is a splitter there just found it . from pics on rock auto it has something to do with abs. thinking about just bypassing it if i can and see if it has brakes in rear...if it does then thats my problem. oh and the cylinder i was speaking of is the master cylinder.

i just unplugged mine and took the light out of the dash, and abs ring out when i regeared

this one has been sold. have a 1994 explorer 4x4 5 spd now....will take over where this one left off....needed the extra room...kids and wife like to wheel too....

Time to update sig, avatar, and post up pics!
