To those of you who have built and bored out your motors i have been told that you have to bore the block and head to match.. is that possible with way the bottom of the head is shaped on these motors?

No, the head doesn't get bored. You can mill it down to gain some compression. Anywhere from .075 to .125". I suggest milling it .100" it will help mileage, and torque.

Yea, if you were to resize the combustion chamber to match the cylinder bore, you would lower the compression and hurt performance.
