I'm wondering if you have to change all the electronics on a NA engine even if its a small amount of boost?:icon_confused: Also I had my head milled when the valves were done and now the cam timing mark seems half a tooth off, I have no top end power, so I'm shifting out of 5th alot.:annoyed:

I don't know how to navigate this forum real well, is there an easy way to see if people have responded, especailyly to remarks in old threads?:icon_confused:

When milling the head it changes the cam timing. The best way to get the timing correct is to use an adjustable cam pulley.

How much did you mill it?Have you moved the belt back the half tooth you said you gained?Usually you don't have to get a adjustable gear until you mill at least 30 off the head. You are boosted? How much are you running?

The head was milled 10 thou. How would I move it only half a tooth? I got a turbo from a basket case engine and don't have any of the electrical stuff. Don't want to install turbo until I have everything I need.:icon_welder:

I didn't mean to move it a half tooth,I meant to jump it back a tooth and see if was any better.Yes,10 thou shouldn't have to get a adjustable gear.We did open up the keyway on one of the race motors in years back to move it ahead a little but now we can use a adj.gear
