i prefer the non-fiction books myself.
anybody else read this or got a good book right now?

Haven't read that one. Though I did read George Carlin's Napalm and Silly Putty. That was a really funny one. I've also read a lot of John Grisham books and a few Stephen King ones. Both great authors.

Love Grisham! im sure Carlins book is one of those that makes you laugh out loud.....love that quality in a book. this is one fiction novel that had me grinnin and laughin all the way through:

If you like books and have a background in engineering or are facinated by machinery "decoding the heavens" is one you should read. It's about the antithykira mechanism, where it was found and what it might be. I still can't figure out how they made it.

I get the Readers' Digest Select Editions...each one has four condensed books...usually recent titles by great authors...I've been collecting them for about nine years and just gave away a bunch of them because I'm moving and they are just excess weight that I can't see carrying around...besides, I've read them all at least twice...

But my favourites include Lee Child's Reacher series...Mary Higgins Clark mysteries...Nicholas Sparks...and a whole bunch of others that I probably wouldn't read otherwise...

Aside from those I've read quite a few different books...mostly fiction, but I like some of the autobiographies...I've learned about Ronald Reagan, George Bush, and a bunch of other people that I've heard of...

One of my all time favs though is A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking...puts me to sleep faster than anything else I've ever read...

i dont know how to read. last time i read a book was for class that you had to read. everytime i try raeding i end up just quickly going over it and forget what i just tried to read.

Next read will be Fleeced by Dick Morris. In an effort to understand the present gov't I may read Mein Kampf and maybe something from Karl Marx.

Guns, Germs, and Steel is an excellent read...about how these three factors decided the fate of the Aztecs and North American Indians when the white folks took over...very interesting...

I'm reading this one currently...recently finished another book by the same
author...Walking the Bible...excellent reads...for those who wondered...

+1, that was a great book. I read it last year for one of my classes. It is very interesting.

Over the summer, I read a couple books. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey and The Catch in the Rye by JD Salinger. I highly recommend both of those books, I thought they were good reads.
