BOJAC

Those will be short years

The first 6 sure were.

For some fun context, remember way back when we all went to the 20th anniversary roundup? He was born that year. He will just miss driving to the 35th (in 2034) by a year...

And so it begins, his first modification...

Why at night? That seems kinda sneaky and fishy.

I do pretty much all my working outside at night...

In this case it was to get it put on before I forgot like last weekend. I was scared of it getting broken bouncing around in the car.

First time its moved since approximately late March.

We took it around the block three times, ran great.

I had a deal working for awhile to get a winch bumper for this thing, Ron had talked about it eventually but they don't give them away (usually) and then you still have to get a winch... they add up pretty quick.

@Mightyfordranger was clearing out a stash of them he had built and I managed to snag one. By dumb luck @bobbywalter was nearby and scooped one up for me. He was doing a cross country migration and just dropped it off tonight.

A HUGE thanks to all involved (including @Uncle Gump who help concoct the scheme) Oliver will go nuts, he has always been fascinated with winches. Since about the time he could talk he was pretending his hotwheels trucks had them and he had a ball putting one on my Ranger when he was like 3.

Now I just gotta hide a bumper for a month until his birthday...

Where else would you ever hear the sentence; “ My 5/6 yr old boy is getting a winch bumper for his truck for his birthday.”?

He will be six... which means we are almost halfway to a school permit.

Why do i have to be a schemer? You always put me in a bad light...

The word he meant to say was... facilatater.

How about "enabler".

I have been doing some fishing.

I know he really likes my grille guard and actually has been fussing to put my old grille guard on his truck. It would be easy to basically cut my uprights down and contour them around his new bumper too.

But I know that isn't the only way to do it so I asked about just a hoop like this:

He got all excited, "is that my truck?" He loves the hoop.

And then he starts dissing my setup because he likes that bumper way better than mine too...
