I have a 99 ranger 4.0... I went out offroading the other day, and now when I give it full throttle in park or neutral, it bogs at 3500. And my revlimiter is set for 5500... I took off all my piping, cleaned it cleaned the mass air flow, made sure all my o2 sensors were still there, and still nothing. Anyone ever have this problem? I took my belt off and ran it, so its not my supercharger. I threw a p0171, and p0174 codes. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Normal!

The factory setting is about 3,000 rpm in neutral or park!! That is completely normal. If it does the same thing on the road you have problems... but sitting still no problem there.

My 3.0 doesn't bog at all but I have a 3.0.... Throwing codes isn't necessarily normal, so look into what would be causing your engine to run lean codes. If you're running a supercharger, maybe the MAF, injectors, or O2 sensors aren't capable of adjusting to the increase in air coming into the motor.

Don't people usually change their MAF when going turbo or super so it can meter the increase in air?

It's suppose to hit rev limiter at 5500 cuz the ecu is tuned... but it bogs before it even gets there and if i step on it it will go slower than it was. I'm doing plugs, wires, oil change, fuel filter, coolant flush, thermostat, and injector cleaner tomorrow. so hopefully this will help out with my problem.
