I would like to do some body work at home. Mainly removing dents and rust repair. And eventually paint. Is it feasible or should I leave this kind of stuff to a body shop?

the task is very feasible. me and my dad did it to our jeep twice. once when we got it and once after we pulled it out of the garage fire 2 weeks after we had her painted :(
then we just did my brothers ranger. just take your time with it. when you go to primer it you will instantly see what you need to touch up on. When we were using the bondo i believe we used 220 grit

if you decided you make or make to do otherwise seems possible to achieve them because ,I've made work mine not long ago and did a very good job. if you be good with your hands, done by a professional to do if you do not passient

body work is super easy if you take your time and have fun with it, but if your looking for a paint job as good as factory or better then id leave the painting to the pros with the proper tools. as far as body work replace any panels that are too bad to pull, pull what you can, beat it as straight as possible, mud it sand it, guide coat, sand it some more, sand some more, sand some more, sand some more and then your ready to go have her painted
