Hey
so i was putting a body lift in my ranger , discovered all my mounts are cracked and falling apart, so i ordered up some poly eurothane bushings for it.
i got the kit today, and found that it doesn't include the steel inserts that go threw the middle of the mounts or the washer/nut sleeve that goes threw the bottom, anyways the ones that came out of my truck are not going to be re usable, and no parts store that i've phoned can find them
my question is, do i need them, or can i just put the whole thing together with a big washer and nut at the bottom?
thanks

When I replaced the body mounts on my choptop I just picked up a 2" body lift kit. It was on sale for my truck at the time and came with bolts an everything so I figured that would be the ticket. I just added a couple extra washers to things and greased up the bolts good when I put them in. The bolts were just regular bolts, I can't remember offhand if they were grade 5 or grade 8, probably grade 8.

yeah i've got all the bolts that came with the lift kit, its the steel inserts that go threw the body mounts is what im wondering about, its like a sleeve that goes in the middle then the bolt goes threw that
I think it might be there so you don't compress the mounts too much when you tighten them, im talking about the ones under the cab, the fender mounts aren't an issue
maybe i'll get some tubing that slides in and some big washers

The polyurethane Kit that comes from LMC Truck has the sleeves molded into them. The bushings come in 2 peices with the sleeve protruding enough to fit through the frame and lower bushing. Don't use cheap thin walled tubing!

the ones i got are from daystar products, and i can see a metal sleeve protruding from the bottom of the upper part of the bushing, but i can't tell if it goes all the way threw, because its been covered by the poly eurothane
