Started the body lift on my 93 explorer today. The two rear body mount bushings are shot.I plan on going to the junk yard tomorrow to try and find two good ones. How is the best way to get them apart?Screw a longer bolt into the bushing and hammer it till the bottom parts comes off?Just didn't know the best wat to seperate them and still be able to reuse them. Thanks

All I have to suggest is buying new ones. They are almost always completely rusted to shit and impossible to get apart without a sawzall or grinder, which destroys them... good luck though, maybe you will get lucky.

I agree. You almost Have to buy new ones... I've never seen any in the JY that look better then mine, which ain't great...

Faaaaaaaawwwwwwk LMC! To buy a complete set of bushings with all the hardware you WILL need would be around $450.

James Duff has a kit for $80 and there may be other places too.

Its crazy the rest of the bushing look brand new.Even the front ones as they usually are the rusted to shit ones. The rear ones are shot to hell.Going to try taking the ones off my parts explorer first. If that dosent work LMC.And damn their high as hell.$$$

Look at Lowe's for bushings. You can get them fairly cheap there.

lol, yup i now goto lowes for lots of auto parts, normally snorkels and hoses (they have by the foot oil/gas hose cheap)

i wouldnt waste my time trying to get the body mounts off, besides, u can order a whole poly set on ebay for 65 shipped
