I got the body lift installed and everything seemed great until i turned it on and the airbag light was on. Does anyone know a remedy for this?
Thanks

Honestly don't see how a body lift set off the airbag light...hmmm...

Well i had to install a steering extension so i disconnected the steering and i think that might have something to do with it... but i have no idea how to fix it. any ideas?? :icon_confused:

Prob not b/c of the steering link, more likely you stretched a sensor wire somewhere along the way.

But someone who knows more than I might ring in, that's just my un-educated guess.

yeah, i'd say its a sensor....also, you might try disconnecting the battery and see if that will turn it off

Take it to a shop that has a good scanner, should tell you exactly what sensor is triping the light

i dont think his truck is OBD-II so he will have to find a place that can flash the codes for him. im not sure if stores can do that though. may have to take it somewhere

Was thinking about this last night. Did you by any chance remove the steering wheel? I would go ahead and disconnect the battery like what was suggested. Otherwise, it might be a stretched connection too.

steering wheel was never removed but i definitely could have stretched a line somewhere, and my truck is OBD II compatible for one reason or another i didnt think it was either but it is. Thanks for the help ill try the battery first then check the codes thanks!
