I'm not sure what you mean but the trailer hitch stays in the same place as its connected to the frame. A body lift just lifts the body off the frame. Is that what you're asking?

if you relocate the back bumper, the hitch will be hanging down and look funny, so just leave the back bumper where it is and run a filler piece between the tailgate and bumper to cover the gap

got a pic of your hitch setup? how it attaches to the frame....

I dont think there is a way to to relocate the hitch and if it was relocated it sounds like it could possibly weaken the attachment points on it.

this is my back bumper, my truck has a 3" body lift, but the bumper is in the stock location so it is stronger, there is a 4" tall rubber/plastic panel screwed into the bed to fill the gap between the tailgate and bumper, if you do this, your hitch will look normal under the bumper

I dont think you want to relocate that. It wont be as strong and when your towing something is exactly when you need the strength.

i really dont tow, i use the hitch for getting pulled out/pulling out... ill just lift it and leave the hitch...anyone got pics of the hitch on there with a body lift and the bumper lifted?

Leave the bumper where it's at, and the hitch will look normal. My truck had a body lift when I bought it, so I just put a piece of checker plate aluminum in there as a filler. You can tell it's not supposed to be there, but also adds a little something. Here's a pic:

My bumper is all gibbled, so the filler looks like it doesn't fit... At any rate, just do something like this, and don't worry about relocating the rear bumper, only worry about the front one.

:agree: relocate the front bumper, and add some diamond plate on the rear. it looks good that way.

you might be able to flip the hitch over so instead of angling down it angles up.....

Would be too much of a change, you wouldn't be able to mount the rear bumper with the hitch flipped.
