This is my cousins 4x4 2.9L 5spd 88 Ranger that we are planning on turning into a mud slut for here in Iowa. Shooting for V8 swap w/trans & t-case (efi if money alows) Full size axles out of a late 70 F-150. 6" coils in front and 6" lift leafs out back. At the moment the interior is nasty! the mice had it as their feilds Hotel for about 5 years so we ripped out the seats and carpet, replaced the seats with some out of a 91 explorer (getting black seat covers) and undercoated the floor instead of putting carpet back in. Here are just a few pics of it the way she sits now. Oh yea, and the topper is coming off too. Not a bad starter vehicle to mod up for $200.

not bad! good looking bed on that thing. can't find a bed thats not rusted here in wv.

Oh it has its fair shair of rust trust me. lol. But for $200 he couldnt go wrong no matter what. Got plates for it today and ordered a new PCM. We burned up 2 trying to get it going. After we searched high and low we found we didnt search low enough and someone had cut all the wires for the N safty switch under the dash and just wired them all together. We got that all straightened out and now waiting for a new PCm to come in this week (we hope) to try it again......
