Hi guys, I drove this 88 Ranger home and the smell of burning wires caught my attention, I parked the truck and noticed the fusible link attached to the solenoid blew. The connected wire is black with an orange stripe that goes across the rad support and into the firewall, Can anyone tell me what this wire is for and what steps I should take to find the short or at least get the truck running to drive it to the shop.
Thanks
