Ok, I just finished cutting out the heater box to get the broken door out so my question is this, what is the trick to getting the upper part of the hinge engaged into the hole? I know the Dorman instructions say it will go but I haven't gotten it in yet, and to say frustrating would be an understatement, my 59 year old body just isn't that limber any more and trying to see through my bifocals adds to the frustration. I didn't have that much trouble getting the actuator motor out and it works fine. Any tips for an ole' guy trying to save somewhere about $800.00+ in labor, I feel the hard part was over but I can't figure out how to install the door. Thanks for any input and help.

I would remove the actuator then install the new door and reinstall the actuator. Also when you have the actuator out test fit it in the door before you install it. I've installed many Ford actuators and never had a problem with fit. I have had problems with Doorman parts not fitting correctly and needing a little grinding to make them fit.
