A little inside info for you guys.....
If you really want a good deal on Batteries for your truck go to a battery distributor if you have one in your area.Ask if they have any factory blems.
They are called blems strictly because of cosmetic issues not performance and you can save yourself a lot of money.
You will not be able to get these at a parts store so just goggle a battery name like Deka,Interstate or Exide for the location of one near you.Don't call go down there and ask what they have.
I scored these for $100 each, they go out the door for $219.They only thing wrong with them is the mounting for the handle is missing.

They are Deka 31 series AGM,100 amp hour,950 cold cranking and weigh 66 pounds....lol!

thanks for the gooooooood idea!!!

You are welcome.
Think about it............You don't go to a pizza shop and order BBQ or a BBQ joint to order Pizza.
Parts store's order the line of batteries that they can make the most money off of,why not go direct to the dealer and get the good stuff on the cheap.
Get bread from a bakery.
Meat from a butcher.
Parts from a parts store.
Batteries from a battery store.

It seems like these are becoming popular very quickly. They may also be called seconds. I work for Deka Batteries and if there is the smallest scratch or marking it is sold as a blem/second.

How do you like working for Deka?
The owner of the company i work for toured the plant in Lyons Station PA.

Out of curiosity, do these Blems carry a warranty as well?

Yes, they carry factory warranty IIRC

That is where I work. I like it. I am currently and mechanic, and electrician. I do pretty much anything there is to do on the machines.

all i used to run was interstate blems, they were fine for DD's.

Since I discovered the Costco batteries have such an awesome warranty, that's all I've bought. BUT, I am always open to alternatives.

Costco, no questions asked, will replace your old battery. And Costco's warranty (3 year free replacement) starts over with the replacement battery. I've had 2 of them die from lack of use, and they replaced them. In fact, this last time, they gave me 10 dollars with the new battery for a core charge.

There is a Deka Warehouse in Madison Tn,if there is anyone in that area give them a call and see what they have.
