BlackBII's white ranger

New parking brake cables. These were a huge pain in the ass. Especially the front one. But, now I have a working parking brake so it was worth it.

I love the aussie locker in my expo 8.8. Hopefully I'll be picking up another one soon for the D35. I'd like to rebuild my front end with new u-joints/E-clip eliminator/bushings/ and '95-'97 knuckles before winter haha.

Yeah the Aussie I have in my D35 works great. The lock right in my 7.5 is retarded. Always clunking and locking and unlocking when it feels like it. I just pulled it out and will be checking the tolerances in a week or so.

I would like to get 95-97 knuckles and well.

Finally got around to adding an aux input to my factory radio. I tried the Bluetooth board I bought, but kept having ground noise issues, so I just used an aux cable instead.

I soldered the left and right wires of the aux cable to the L and R #2 inputs(AM Radio) on the preamp chip and ground to ground. This way I still get to use the chips equalizer and balance settings. I desoldered the AM tuner connections so that I won't get any buzzing. So now if I want AUX, I set the radio to AM. FM Radio still works great.

Here's some pics and the data sheet of the chip in my radio. Note - The left and right are shown here as being soldered to the #3 inputs. I switched these later to the #2 inputs, overriding the AM signal.
My phone puts out too much voltage, so I'll have to add a 100k trimmer pot so I can tone it down, but my battery powered 3.5mm Bluetooth receiver works great.

Your build thread is awesome!
Thanks champ. I try to make it informative with lots of pics.

Today I found a passenger seat in the junk yard that appeared to have never been sat in, so I stole the foam out of it and put it in my driver's seat. It's so much better. That old seat was worn the hell out.

Also noticed this sticker on my 1992 Explorer seat frame

Look forward to your updates!!! Always get the mind going on little projects that i didn't know that i wanted to do until you do it. Going to swap out the foam from my passenger to the driver seat now, don't have many passenger's, just the dog and he likes riding behind me.

Keep up the great work!!!!

Swapping the foam will make a big difference. :icon_thumby:

I haven't done much on the ranger lately; it's been running and driving great. I do have some updates on my bluetooth factory radio that I'll post soon.

I need to install my lift and get some 32" tires, but I think I'll wait until after the winter.

1992 factory radio with added Bluetooth round 2.

I added a step down voltage converter and an isolated 12-5v converter.

This got rid of the ground loop noise. :icon_thumby:

Did some wheeling in the snow today. Ranger did awesome.

I think I'll be putting the lift on soon. I need to buy a little car to drive to work and back and then I'll tear into the danger ranger again.

Installed my sway bar today.

Burning the old rubber bushings out

New bushings and some paint

Also started working on my front bumper version 2.0

Going to weld some plate on the bottom side to make it look finished. I want it to look stockish but still allow for a decent approach angle in front of the tires and also have an off roadish look

Some more snow wheeling

Is that one of those tinted windshield banners you apply to the inside of your windshield?

I like what you've been doing with this truck. I'm watching to see how the front bumper turns out.

I don't think I'e ever seen anyone add Bluetooth to an old Ford factory radio.

Did you start with a stock bumper and cut it down? That looks great so far.
