If he is not dead wouldn't you think that he would speak out and tell the world that America is a bunch of liars and "I am alive! Death to the infidels!" ?.How would you keep that quiet if he was alive?
How wouldn't you? Were I in his position, and the people hunting me for the better part of 10 years suddenly decided that they want the world to think I'm dead, I'm gonna play along. I'm gonna move, hide somewhere else, and dropp off the radar again. That way it will be that much more unexpected when I strike again.
what would you say if you found out certain people knew he was alive and where he was but kept it a secret for 10 years.
The Paks have known where he was the whole time. And it's gonna come out in the intel we retrieved.
Re the hajji burial: we did it to show the world we aren't animals, unlike most of the middle east.
I'm as happy as the next guy to believe that he may be dead, but I will remain skeptical until I see proof.
We did nothing to even pretend to try and honor and sort of Islamic custom with the Hussein family. We embalmed them, photographed them, and paraded Saddam's head around to show the people that we had actually killed him. The fact that we seem to have gone to great lengths to honor Bin Laden with those customs makes me wary. Particularly when I can think of several reasons why some US officials may want the world at large to believe Bin Laden is dead. The top two being
1) The US Army brass being embarrassed that this one man has managed to evade them for 9.5 years now
and
2) Our Muslim President, who has said he would stand with the Muslim community before he would America, wants to take the heat off his brother.
