Bilstein has HD's for the rear of my '85 2wd pickup, but "nothing(?)" for the front?

Anybody know where to find a set of front Bilstein HD shocks for my '85 2wd?

What the stock rough ride isnt, a' nuff fror your butt, you want more, try a different brand, or you could measure the stroke and lengths and mount type to see if there is another shock they have that will fit, but isnt listed, you will find that many times fronts will be dropped from there line for trucks do to low demand, since most buy heavy rears to help with loads

Stock isn't bad, but could be better.

They're an amazing product! Serviceable and revalvable...a set will last a lifetime.

I'm simply surprised they have a fitment for rear and not front.

When I had my '75 Chevy LUV, a pair from a Toyota Pickup were bolt in. I'm sure I wil have the same luck.

Thought I'd update the crowd...

Spent some time on the phone with a Bilstein Tech Rep...

We discussed length, mounting, stroke length and VALVING, to determine the few options I had for putting the 4600 HD-series front struts, in my 1st Gen 2wd Ranger...

Found these...

46mm Monotube Shock Absorber

Internal Design: Monotube
Collapsed Length: 10.04 in / 255 mm
Extended Length: 14.49 in / 368 mm
Boot Included: Blue Bellows
Mounting Kit: B4-KT1-Z097A00
Spring Seat: No
Finish: Yellow Paint
Supercedes: F4-B46-1719-H0
Part #: 24-184816

Bilstein HD's for '92 Ford E150

There is no direct application for a 1st gen Ranger, from Bilstein...Stock Ranger shock is about 14.5" extended and 10" collapsed.

Valving is pretty close to 300/130...which is pretty good for the front of a light duty pickup.

Mine arrived in the mail yesterday, and I put them in today...went right in!

That's my blown, compressed old shock, next to the new Bilstein HD...
