BIITR, 1 tons and 38x20 v-bars

so do shady built trucks that are supported so widely, i just dont care enough to bash a person or say anything negative.

This is called courtesy and this is what earns you repsect.

So you were responding to him for not having tact and being politically correct? is it a requirement to be politically correct and have certain tact to be an enthusiast and post on this forum?... But you understood what he was saying and didnt disagree?

I was responding because it appeared he was just out to be an ass and tear someone down for not being as good as him. politically correct is not required, but apparentyl rude shyt like what he posted isnt allowed, hence the reason two people got banned recently, for just being downright rude. I did understand what he was getting at, I dont approve of it, nor how he went about presenting it. I do disagree, its an offroad truck. There are no safety requirements for men to be stupid during recreational activities. IE tackle footbal at the park after 3 cases of beer.

I have like what, 100 posts? ive been on this site since 2002. Dirtraider has been around a long time too, long enough for me to know hes a shithead too, so dont think I'm defending him as a individual...

If hes been around that long then he has seen plenty of these type of builds and should know that knockin someone the way he did will accomplist nothing. He should also know that this is how people start out and learn. If he wants to be a teacher, he should know that being uplifting and offering helpful advice is way better than berating and bashing someone til they get it right.

Ive just been watching this thing go for weeks now it seems... everyone is on their own bandwagon. Todd is a cool guy, his truck is shady as hell but I dont care, hell i dont think anyone REALLY does, people just like to talk crap on the internet. The only things I o agree with is the people freaking out with the "omg that thing is so nice" stuff, are you kidding? There is almost nothing nice about that truck, but as todd said himself, its not a show truck, its a wheeling rig:icon_thumby:

What exactly do you consider nice? Its a monstrous looking offroad ranger, its built to be beaten and looks like it would crawl through hell itself. I think that is nice. There is nothing bandwagony about sticking up for someone. If someone was trashing dirtraiders build that way he did Todds, I would stick up for him too. This is a community and somethings dont benefit the community.

I think you people just like to argue:thefinger:

Your absolutely right, some of us like to argue. However its not to say that we dont have good points and that lessons cant be learned from a good arguement (I know good arguement=oxymoron).

I see your side of it as well. I just think everyone takes things way too personal, I have been guilty of this too... I think everything is pretty much dead at this point, the only thing you wrote that i would like to respond to is what do i consider nice.

now... its hard to go on about these things because some people just dont have money, I dont know todds financial situation... I was pretty broke in this sport at one time and cut corners, now i dont have to.

but simple things like shackles.... they're cheap to buy new and even cheaper to build nice ones. I havent really "inspected" his truck like it seems alot of people did, i just glanced at the pictures but If the shackles are that way, im sure alot of other things are too.

EDIT:

I just went back and looked at page one, at second glance, I dont think this truck looks THAT bad. I dont care about the hockey puck body lift, ive never had a BL so i cant even comment on them. the main things that i see that I think look like ass are the shackles, with as much work as he put into those, he could of easily built some from scratch, or with the ones he has at least round the corners off, and the lift blocks. Aside from their DD abilities... the fronts are aluminum, prone to cracking in half, which is MORE probable offroading. the shock hoop/engine cage thingy isnt very pretty, but perhaps he doesnt have access to a tube bender, it looks solid.

Truck doesnt really look like a death trap as Dirtraider mentioned, I dont agree with that, and it does look like a pretty gnarly truck.

Say what you want about me, at least i didn't go post his truck in a "crappy fab" thread on another board, good way to stand behind him :icon_thumby:[\quote]

I fail to see where I was standing behind him?

For the amount of times you trash this place on other sites, just don't understand why you keep comming back here.

why dont everyone just shut up and enjoy a redneck machine? and if you dont enjoy it F*** off cause noone cares if you dont like it... and if todd gets back to see this, tell all those who dont like this truck to gtf off this thread and go flame another site. i like it, its cool and has big tires. go drive it through mud and take pic's/videos. cause some of us support anyone who drives a ranger, "death machine" or not.
