Alright so some guy and his wife came into my work the other day talking about a BII they have, and mentioned selling it, so i was talking with them about it. They said it has a 302, 4x4, auto, 10,000-ish on motor, newer paint, but they havent decided a price yet. O and its a 84. What would you guys expect to pay for such a vehicle? Just curious in case i wanna buy it...with luck i might be able to afford it one day!
Thanks everyone

i would say, depending on body condition, around $1500-$2000....

I say let's make a deal. I like 1,000.00 OR lower myself. See how bad they want to sell it.

I was thinking about 1500-2000 also. We will see what they want i guess. They were trying to talk it up so they may ask a bit more.

I am doing my own 302 install right now, and I would not even consider $2000 if someone offered that for my BII.
Bidding would start at $4500.
(purchase price 1400, 1 year ago, $1000 in rubber, $600 worth of lift, and lots more in sweat/blood/oil/love)

Sadly what it is worth and what someone else will pay are two different things. I wouldn't take $2k for mine even before I put my V-8 in, but to some joe off the street a 1985 Ranger that doesn't run too hot but has a straight body might be worth $500.

solid point,
to me, this means that my bronco is many years away from being sold. I will squeeze all the wheeling & enjoyment I can out of this thing before it comes up for 'sale' consideration
(I have other less important things to sell if I ever get in dire need of cash.)

A poorly running Ranger goes for 600-100 around here.

I'd agree with 1500-2000 like said above
