Any of you guys running coilover shocks on the rear of your bII? I put a set on mine and got about 4" of lift and still have good ride on the highway. My rear was really weak so it would probably be more like 2"-3" over stock.
:D

A 6 inch rake sounds kinda extreme.

And the rear is going to ride very stiff like that.

IMO, the best way to lift the rear is with shackles or physically longer (and higher-arched) leaf springs.

The rear was sagging lower than the front. I put the 2" coil spacers on the front so I have about a 1" rake and the ride is much better than it was before. And it looks good, although I have noticed that it breaks traction a little easier in 2wd.

I put 1994 Explorer springs front & rear on my BII to correct that same problem. It worked out great & I gained at the most 1 1/2" of total lift. Mine now sits level & the ride on the open road improved but it does take speed bumps a lot harder then with the stock BII shocks. I am pleased with the way it turned out.
