ok so im buyin a parts truck with a 6 inch lift an 4.56 gears an im swaping it into my mazda an i want to kno what is the biggest tire size i could run with 4.56 an a 6" lift? could i run 35s no problem or should i stick with something like 33s

With a 3.0L I'd stick with 33's to make it wheelable and still have a quick fun lil truck. You'll rub with 35's and 4.56's are just enough to push 35's around comfortably with a 4.0L.

going to 35's is a serious commitment. (as im realising now) if you have the option just stick with 33's. or.... be a rebel like me and not give a damn what anybody says and do what YOU want to.

but if you do be ready for:

tires hitting bedsides in dips
front tires hitting fenders in big dips
only turning 3/4ths of normal
not braking good
and being slowwwww
(i have a 6in lift)

4.56 goes best with 31s on a 3.0L, but it should be able to push the 33s too. I wouldn't try 35s though.

ok thanks alot everyone ya i was goin to stick with 33's i had a feeling 35's with be pushin it so thanks again,

with those gears an 33s like am i still goin to beable to run highway speeds? like i kno my MPG will go down but i still want to beable to run highway speeds?

ok well thats good cuz im goin to be DD it till i get my other truck soon so i just need to be able to do highway speeds.

you should be fine with 33's and 4.56s right now Im running 33x15.50s on my DD with only 3.73s its a 2.9l with a 5 spd its slow but i dont have to ride the clutch to get her moving right now im in the process of collecting enough stuff to jump up to 4.56's and as far as wheeling I wheel my truck now with the 33s and 3.73s and it still wheels ok but not like it should.

ok sweet ya cuz i plan on just wheeling my mazda this summer an get another truck, an im buying a parts truck with a 6 inch SJ lift kit an brand new 4.56 gears an warn locking ups so its a deal to good to pass up. an i just wanted to make sure i could run like 33s so i didnt have to stick with 31s

Yeah, 4.56's would be best for 31's/32's. 4.88's would be alot better for the 33's. If you ever wanted to go 35's, you'll really need to consider 4.88's if not 5.13's.
