Biggest tire that could fit on stock suspension? 98 Rander 2wd

What size is a 31" (xxx/xxr15) tire and would i still need a 3" bod lift to fit them?

according to the calculator here you would need a 275/75R15 and that would actually be a 31.2 inch tire (I had to do the math backwards to get that)

and according to this linky a 2-4 inch lift and you should be fine. although that only goes up to '96 I'm sure the 98 isn't that much different. I may be wrong though, need someone that knows more about it to chime in here.

i have seen people put 31s on a stock 2wd 98+ IFS but they rubbed, he had to trim the fenders. a 30x9.50x15 or 235/75/15 should work perfect. a 31x10.50x15 is about the same as a 265/75/15.

its confusing because a 31x10.50x15 is actually a little less than 31 inches. i compared a 31x10.50x15 at work (discount tire) to a 265/75/15 and the 265 is actually just a tiny bit taller (maybe like 1/8 of an inch) but basically they are the same size just p-metric vs. high flotation.

Yeah im plannig on changing the wheels as well (something like These) and found some cheap tires that are 235/75/15 for 65 a piece i might go with

those wheels are pretty sweet, a guy i work with put them on his jeep liberty. i would be careful buying cheap tires, working at a tire shop i wouldnt reccomend buying the cheapest. just my $.02

thanks! i only paid $65 bucks a piece for those! we do a lot of business with wheel city so they hooked me up and i just had to pay cost for them:headbang: (normally we would sell those for like a little over $100 a piece!)

Damn, thats a nice deal! :clapping:
As for the tires, there Goodyear Wrangler Radials

Is the guy that got the wheels on his Liberty pretty happy with them? They look pretty cool

yeah, he loves them. the wrangler radials are alright, if there is a discount tire near you i would check out the bfg long trails, a little more expensive ($80) but a lot better tire though. and with discount you get free roto/balance etc free for the life of the tires and a free pro rated warranty.
