hey i have a 97 ranger 2wd 3.0l and i was wonderingwhat it was the biggest static drop to do for not reconstructing my frame i plan on doing a big frame notch, so whats the mosst i can lower is without bags, i want it pretty much slammed!:headbang:

thanks in advance

Without going crazy on the front frame, 5" is about it. I'm so close to my frame I had to turn my adjustment sleeve on my end links so they would clear. You could always notch the front frame for more clearance, but by that point your front wheel wells will be in the way.

so 5 in the front is the most probably, how about in the rear is it possible to do 7 or 8? thanks

If you notch the frame, yes. I'm dropped 6" in back with drop leaves. I thought about flipping my shackles when I replaced everything last year but it brought me WAY to close to the frame and I'm not willing to notch until I know what I'm doing rim/tire wise.

okay thanks, wheres the best site or cheapest to find dropped i beams ? the cheapest i can find is about $350 or more.. thanks !

Ive see online a set of 5 inch drop beams for like $800. with those i guess you could go far enough to set the trans crossmember on the ground if you paired them with some drop coils. i cant remember where i found them, but i think i stumble upon them looking at google images of bagged rangers. 7 in static drop and you probably wouldnt clear a piece of gravel in the road.lol.

maybe they were custom or someone was playing a sick joke. i searched for the website for a hour last night but couldnt find them again. never the less, the 5/5 on my truck is plenty low enough to tuck the tires on a static drop.... bags will be upcoming.

so im notching my frame alot so i can lower the rear, is there any major problems or problems at all say if i lowered it like 8 or 9 at the most? thanks
