after it sitting in my driveway for 3 months i finally got motivation to start working on it first thing i did was replace the spring hangers
as you can see it was riding on the bed gota love canadian salt :icon_thumby:

here's the new brackets unfortunately i dont have a pic with them on the truck just them waiting to go on

i ended up slapping a 3 " bodylift onto the truck with a set of leveling coils

heres how i drove it for half the summer with 31's was broke it has a bumper on it this picture is just after the new balljoints had to test it out

ya they are a pretty decent body style i like that they also have the ttb
in the fall i bought a set of 33" super swamper tires and rims for 370

next on the list is to build a front bumper/receiver to hook this up its a 8000lb winch i got for $350
DSCF1016.jpg

so far with out the tires i got 1100 into the truck plus buying it 700 in parts and 400 for the truck

about 1500 all said and done right now and its very capable offroad
next i want to put an explorer 8.8 disc brake axle in it
and do some gearing
im also thinking about pulling the cab and box and puttin the cab and box from my 94 on it. its all rust free just needs to much work in the front suspension and the frame is got some serious cancer

nice build up.. wish i could find 33's for that lol.. oh well, i've gone broke on bumper builds and stuff.
nice ranger!

thanks its taken a yr to get where it is but its been fun. it wasnt easy finding tires lol looking for three months just at the right place at the right time ive come to live by kijiji lol.and bumpers would be expensive i get all the steel for free so i just take advantage of it while i can.

see i'm jealous now.... i paid $160 in steel for bumpers..and that is cheap for us.

oh and cash in pocket is always good when those deals arise.

haha ya i priced it out and 160 woulda made my back one its hard to beleive that it can cost that much but i guess you gota pay to play as they say lol

To have my custom bumpers made was gonna run $1500 lol.
Anyways. We can talk about mine on my thread. This is yours.. So what other plans you have? What it is used for mostly?

i was using the truck originally for mudding with my buddys had to build something got tired of being a passenger all the time and it also needed to be road legal.
couple of things im thinkin about doing are electric fan heard it can help with gas mielage dual battery set up and a bigger alternator. depending on what i have left for money in the spring id like to lift it ever since i seen my brothers freinds ranger on 36s i want mine to look like it lol. i also want to pull the cab and box and put the one off my 2wd on it its got no rust on it and swap the motor over as well theres only 149 ks on it but that will most likely be a spring job. i also need to do the rear axle gona grab a disc 8.8 from the wreckers next week and it needs front u joints and doing a new exhaust set up.

on the 8.8, make sure its an explorer-- 31 spline.
on the 36's, remember you'll have to gear it..
i'd say leave the lift alone and trim the fenders.
a ford taurus fan off of the 3.8 i believe is the STRONG electric fan, don't quote me on that. its a taurus fan, just don't remember what motor. don't waste the money on optima batteries, go with duralast gold or something.

just added info, i'm sure you know it... just wanna make sure lol

ya wont be gettin an optima to muc and i bought a good costco battery and it works flawless so far winch needs a 650 cca battery to its self just need to figure how i want to set the batts up

36s will never happen just a pipe dream maybe 35s i was thinkin about some glass fenders up front and maybe some 2" drop brackets im gona look into a fan see what fits good.

got my explorer rear end and the springs from it they look to have alot more arch to them than my stock ones. i was pulling my shocks off to get the old axle out and one of them is blown after 500 km new plans are goin to build it like a prerunner somewhat ill be startin off with a bed cage and some bilstein 5120s with rezzies.
