big 4x4 trouble

I have a 94 ranger 4x4 ext cab. I bought a new dash switch and found that the control module had the same burned wire on both plugs. I spliced a fuse it and then found the shift motor was bad. I pulled it apart and it was bad. I put in a new shift motor and it still dont work. I have no idea what to do next. Can someone help me. It has auto locking hubs and a new switch and a new shift motor. Could anything else be bad???????

Ya your hubs could be crap. Switch them out for some warn manual hubs.

The controller and the wiring are really all that's left.

With the plug/wire being burnt like that you should check the fuse. is the motor not engaging the case or is power not getting to the front wheels? The hubs have no affiliation with the tcase motor not engaging.
