just wondering if you guys have had good luck with these tires because i found a killer deal on em! $633 for 4 brand new 35x12.5x15. grantid they aren't mounted or nothing but still thats CHEAP! Kinda on a budget thats why im willing to get an A/T tire instead of a M/T:dunno:

I ran 'em for a while on a stock Explorer. Were an awesome all around tire, just expect them to pack up a little in mud. Other than that, I'd go for it, I had no complaints about them at all.

rotate em religiously or they are gonna bounce. I never have good luck with BFG's on heavy trucks, but they will last for ever on a ranger Light truck.

i've heard about rotating em, thanks for the reminder, i forgot about that.

what about snow? do they do pretty decent in snow/slush/ice?

when i had them on my 88 i barely had to use the 4x4 in the winter.

Living where I do, there are a lot of high elevation mountain highways. The tires did very well on the snow, were decent on ice, and excellent in slush. Just remember, they aren't a winter specific tire, so still take 'er easy in the winter weather!

yeah, i've just got a set of dean m/t on right now and i siped em. holy crap, i've been on ice in a parking lot in 4x4 with those things and i couldn't get my truck to drift at all! Sweet thanks guys! i've just gotta check out the pocket book and make sure there's still enough for the rearend re-gear!

YOu need to regear both the front and rear, unless you plan not to EVER run 4x4 or you wanna replace a ton of parts everytime you do... I would sipe the BFG's too...

i know. i already bought a front pumpkin w/ 4.56 gears and a locker. so i've just gotta re-gear the rear end... i'll prolly end up siping the BFG's

Can you elaborate a bit more on BOUNCE!! :icon_confused:

these tires get scuffing, i guess you could say,or wavy in the tread if you don't rotate them frequently. it happened on my dad's kenworth drop-axle tires quite a bit, so i know what he means. hope that helps some.

oh... ok just checkin you know, some people do believe they only need the backs sooo...

hahaha yeah some people do. funny as heck to see em when they figure out/realize they gotta do the front too:icon_rofl: after they break something

My Gramps had those on his Grand Cherokee and the parts truck I drive at work has them. They are a good all-round tire that work great in most terrains except for deep mud and hard pack (read:damn near ice) snow. In loose fluffy snow they are great.

I've been running them on the Winter cars/truck for years and never had problems with them. Most do have the severe Winter rating on them, depending on the size. Not all that good in mud as mentioned. Narrow is better for the snow, quiet in the Summer compared to others. I keep buying them!
