Hey does anyone know a better transfer case i can use in place of my bw1354 transfer i am looking for a stronger/low gearing transfer case that will bolt up???? thank you

There is nothing available that will bolt up. The only option would be a divorced case or a doubler for lower gearing.

What is wrong with the case you have now? If its the electric shift and thats the part you are having issues with then you could swap in a Manual 1354.

Yes there is... the Atlas II bolts right up, with your choice of 3.0:1, 4.3:1, or 5.0:1 low range (I think there might be a 6.x:1 something one out now too, but not sure). Its big $$$$$ though.

Stak4x4 is said to be currently designing a mounting plate for their 3-speed to fit the RBV 5-bolt pattern as well (also $$$$$).

IMO, I would probably go the doubled stock case route though, they are plenty strong, and the resulting ratio is deeper than with the above two options. It's also anywhere from 1/3 to 1/10th the cost, and probably somewhat lighter, too.

thanks guys thats what i was looking for and no my stock manual 1354 case is just fine i just wanted to know about others with lower gearing

I have not researched this much, but I have always thought it would be pretty easy to swap a Dana 300 into an RBV. You could swap in lower gears, twin stick it, and I believe you'd have some strength gain.

What gears do you have in your axles? Going to a deeper ratio there can help.

i have 4.56's right now running 35's with the 4.0 automatic but it is also a daily driver for now too so i didnt want to go with a lower gearing for that reason

It looks like you should install a doubler then. Remember, the BW135x has just as good or better gearing than most other t-cases.

There are a few folks here that have done the double route and seem pretty happy with it. I'm planning on the same eventually and collected a manual 1354. Be sure to add a few $ to the total for new drive shafts.

The only thing I don't like with the doubler is the adapter shaft between the two t-cases. I do not like the idea of pressing two pieces together and welding it.
Did some company start manufacturing a real one piece shaft ??

yea that is the only thing i dont like about the doubler because they are way more prone to break then just a one piece shaft...i have the case for the doubler already just waiting for the time and money to do it but not to sure about doing it yet

D.D. Machine (he doesn't sell the shafts alone though, have to buy the kit)

If you make the shaft correctly and use the doubler correctly you won't have problems with the shaft breaking. See my writeup below for details of how to make the shaft correctly.

Doesn't the 300 only come in a passenger side drop applications??
