My credo
to prevent Found On the Road Dead, Fix Or Repair Daily
The Ranger spent 3 1/2 months in a storage tent in the side yard. I laid down plywood so I would have a smooth surface to crawl on. This didnt do the lawn any good. But it has been about a month since and the grass is starting come back, I decided to help help it by raking out the thatch. I had just started raking, when I saw the only part , I hadnt found when I put things back together. It is the thingy that the speedo cable mates with at the transfer case. The Ranger is high enough so that I didn't need to jack it up. After I finished rakin, I put it where it belongs. I had spent an hour looking for the blasted thing when I went to put the speedo back on. :icon_confused:

This is why I have an area set aside to put all the parts in I am taking off, and and an area to put all the parts that I am putting on. This never happens to me...again....once was enough.....lol

Yah, I did rig up a a 1/2 @$$ workbench where I kept the pieces, It musta got loose and rolled of the bench. :D

maybe it decided that it's life was over and decided to jump...I've had parts commit that kind of end to it all...only to be swept up later and tossed into the grubbage bucket...later to be found when I thought I tossed out a winning lottery ticket...

I always feel extremely lucky that I found the part...so, in a way, I won!
