Bilstein 5100s.

hey when im changing the shocks out is there any thing i should know or check for? im changing them cus i have a real bad squeek i cant tell if its shocks or steering also from when i bought the truck about a yr. ago the front has droped a lil so ima change the shocks first and see what happens

rough country or skyjacker shocks. I have skyjacker and im very happy. does good for off road and on road.

I got rancho rs-5000 and love them!!! I had about one year old bilstiens on before I changed my shocks and they just felt like crap...I think it was because they were used and abused before i got the truck. I don't know?

Bilstein is a much higher quality shock than any of the "white-twin-tube" shocks like the Rancho. I would agree they were likely messed up if they weren't performing properly.

As for shocks and suspension height, shocks have virtually no bearing on that. If the truck is leaning or is sitting too low, more likely you have a spring or bushing issue (probably bushings if you say it's squeaking). Also, bad balljoints can cause squeaking/creaking noises on that truck too.

oooo ic thank u 4x4junkie ill have to look at all of these things.

well with that any suggestions on springs to?

You have torsion bars in the front, rather than normal springs.

You can adjust the ride height to a certain limit, although it must be aligned afterwards. There should be an article in the tech library on how to do it.

o thats right sorry super new thanks for that

has any one tried the pro comps any reactions/thoughts
