Wondering what tire size would be preferable for towing a boat 235/85/16 or 265/75/16? Looking at either the duratracs or mickey thompson mtz

Obviously I know either are not the best for towing but between the two. Oh btw if I went with a 265/75/16 duratrac I can get a Load Range C rather than the E on the MTZ or 235/85 duratrac

personally i wouldn't spend money on a MTZ
the duratracs are a great tire tho.

the load ranges shouldn't matter much, as this is for a ranger right??? won't matter to much. what size boat is this?

17 ft Center console trailer boat and motor and all the gear weigh less than 4k. I was just thinking rolling resistance with MT tires a wider MT might bog a little more than a skinnier but maybe that's just dumb

edit: yes for my ranger too

the duratracs are a great all around tire.
but the load range of the MTZ would be better...

idk man, its a toss up. personally, unless you're towing the boat daily... i'd get the duratracs. in whatever size fits your truck.

33's and 4.10s with 4k of towing, may not be enough gear.. you may want 4.56's or 4.88's. that's a personal thing, i always like the lower gear option.
