Is there a way that dog hair can be removed from carpet or would i just be better off replacing the carpet itself. I'm trying to stay cheap. The previous previous owner of my Tahoe had a dog, and it shows.

I don't know what these things are called but they work good. It's a roll of tape, it looks like masking tape, on a handle. The tape is reversed so the sticky side is on the outside. You just roll it over the surface and it collects crap, then you just peel of the piece of tape and a new piece is underneath.
Probably not a very good description, but you can pick them up a the dollar store. They work really good for picking up dog hair.

Even cheaper than that, get some duct tape and wrap it around your hand sticky side out. You then press/drag/whatever your hand on the carpet. Rotate the tape as you go, and when it wont grab anymore, replace the tape. It's also stickier then what Jay was talking about.

That's a fine idea. Cheaper and more effective. :icon_cheers:

The item described is a lint roller. But ya duct tape is cheeper.

Oh, sorry, previous owner's dog, got it.

And here I was gonna tell you to tell the wife to do some trimmin'. :icon_rofl:

Tape has always been my saving grace for dog hair on the carpet. I have 2 golden retrievers.

I have two pugs and I swear that there hairs must be barbed....I don't bother trying anymore

get one of those pldege hair removers they work great

duct tapoe and a lint roller do not work. just take te carpet out and take to the carwash. blast the hell out of it. great hing is you end up cleaning the smell and other crap out of the carpet too. it cheap does not cost but a few bucks and no dog smell.
