The previous stock tire were 225 75 15s so these new tires are about a inch wider and taller. I was gambling that I could clear the 30s. Took it for a drive and have a decent amount of rubbing in the front. I would like to level out my truck or come close to leveling it out. I know my coil springs are the original so they gotta be warn and sagging. If i put the new stock coil springs should it clear the tires? What about the f150 coil springs from the jy? If i put some of those in will i need drop brackets? I was looking at the factory spacers on the tech forum but the appear to be discontinued.

thanks,

Add washers under the coils for a little lift. You WILL need an alignment though.

I would have said sawsall but that's too nice of a truck to molest like that.

The washer trick would work or you could find the f150 spacers in a junk yard. Either way an alignment will be needed. Replacing saggy coils would help too.

I also have a set of leveling coils I'd be willing to let go for dirt cheap. PM me if you're interested.

i got the leveling coils on saturday along with some f150 shocks that worked out perfectly. from the sagging stock coils to the stiff leveling coils there was a 3 inch difference in the height.

here is the stock coil next to the leveling coil.

the installation took about 3 hours and was pretty painless. the shocks i found that worked were from a 1988 f150 2wd, they had 1/4 inch longer compressed length and 2 1/2 inch long extended length. they also seemed to be much bulkier and heavier duty. with the new height the camber is extremely off course, so ill be getting an alignment tomorrow. thanks again to brinker88 for the coils, they turned out awesome.
