Best tire size for 88 ranger 4x4?

I have a 88 Ranger 4x4 supercab(normal suspension), right now it is stock, and I am planning to add Belltech 6400 rear spring shackles, and the factory f-150 coil spring spacers in the front.

Can I get a 31x10.5 tire and not have to worry about rubbing? I know that is a very common size of tire and therefor cheaper, but if they wont fit on stock height or after shackles and spring perches, it doesn't matter how cheap they are.

If 31's will rub the fenders,ect on factory 15x6 wheels, what is a common size cheap all terrain tire that will fit well?

Mine 83 has 31/15/10's on and I have F 150 front springs and Auto Zone drop shackles on the rear, and will soon be adding 91 exploder leafs. Mine only rub the front fender slightly when I turn hard and am backing up in my driveway, I barely notice it, It got a lot better after I put on the drop shackles and I think it will be completely gone when I get my exploder leafs on! To my surprise, I didn't rub at all when I went wheelin last time, and I was in some pretty hairy stuff!

i ran 31 on my 88 and 86 when they were stock with a lil bit of rubbing

Since you have modified the suspension, it sounds like you should be good with those 31's. Dusty and Hatman seem to have simular set ups.

On my truck, totally stock 87 4x4, I can fit 30x9.50R15 or 235/75R15 at the most under mind without any rubbing at all. Looks good too!
